Profile
Caroline Webber-Brown is a specialist SRA regulated solicitor and departmental supervisor in our clinical negligence team.
Having previously worked for two well-known law firms, she joined Slee Blackwell in 2020. She has a strong focus in cases involving catastrophic injuries for both children and adults.
Caroline’s clinical negligence expertise includes negligent cosmetic surgery, gynaecological, urological and colorectal conditions, delayed diagnosis of cancer and sepsis, brain damage, birth injuries, orthopaedic injuries, surgical errors and GP negligence.
She has a close association with the Rectopexy Mesh Victims and Support Group, providing free legal advice. Her extensive caseload of mesh claims includes many clients who have transferred from other firms as they prefer Caroline’s personal approach.
At the heart of Caroline’s practice is her care and compassion. She works hard to provide first class client care, ensuring that her clients remain fully informed throughout the process of bringing a legal action, while making it as stress free as possible. She works closely with case managers, rehabilitation specialists, and independent financial advisers to ensure that her clients receive support and advice both during and after a case. Where required, she will obtain advance compensation payments to fund vital rehabilitation and treatment.
Caroline’s career highlights include:
- Securing an award of £4 million for a gentleman who suffered blindness following the failure of medical practitioners to diagnose hydrocephalus.
- Obtaining a compensation award in excess of £500,000 for a client who sustained injuries as a result of mismanagement following spinal surgery.
- Settling three different cases, all in excess of £300,000, for women who suffered birth injuries.
- Recovering in excess of £250,000 for failure to diagnose a bowel perforation.
- A settlement in excess of £180,000 for a man who suffered nerve damage during an ankle replacement procedure due to incorrect placement of the screws.
- Successfully obtaining a £1.4 million settlement for a woman who underwent a rectopexy mesh surgery performed by Mr. Dixon, when it was medically unnecessary.
“The ‘exceptional’ Caroline Webber-Brown is highlighted for her expertise in complex mesh litigation and gynaecological negligence.”

Caroline’s Recent Client Feedback
- My case was very embarrassing as to where the operation took place. Caroline and her team were so professional and knowledgeable about this type of law suit. Every bit of advice given was considered and detailed. Everything she said would happen, did as she stated to the letter. The professionalism was superb, but more importantly I was treated with care and respect. Never did I feel like a number on a document and in the vulnerable position I was in was just what I needed.

- Excellent solicitor. I cannot recommend this firm highly enough and especially Caroline who is professional, approachable and thorough, she works tirelessly and is a real credit to the firm. You are not made to feel like just a number as with other firms, it’s a pleasure to have such an excellent solicitor to represent you when you have gone through so much. She is so understanding and knowledgeable.

- I can’t thank Caroline and the team at Slee Blackwell enough. They could have easily turned me away, but they didn’t, instead they worked ferociously for five years on my case, booking appointments for me in London gathering expert opinions, having face to face and online meetings with me, keeping me up to date, and also explaining things clearly whenever I didn’t understand (which was often!). Just an incredible team. However, beyond this, I felt like they genuinely cared, which meant a lot more to me, as a legal journey inevitably brings up a lot, and they’re a very empathetic team. Thank you to Caroline and the team at Slee, it’s been one hell of a journey, and I appreciate all your effort to get me through it. I’d recommend you any day of the week.

- Caroline has been second to none in dealing with my claim and has brought it through to the best settlement for me. She is very professional leaving no stone unturned whilst being extremely empathetic, friendly and understanding. I felt she was with me all the way and would have no hesitation in recommending her to potential clients. She also led a very efficient team. I will always be grateful for her help and expertise in achieving what I once thought may not have been possible.

- Caroline Webber-Brown has been relentlessly kind and compassionate as well as knowledgeable, professional and responsive. An email sent to Caroline would always get a personal reply. A question asked would always get a full and accessible response and explanation. At the beginning of the process of trying to claim damages, I got nervous and suggested to Caroline that I would change my mind. She gently encouraged me to keep going and she has been doing that ever since. The result has been a sum of money that I didn’t have before, which also represents an acknowledgement of mistakes made in my medical and surgical treatment which Caroline and Lisa (the Barrister involved) doggedly pursued. Thank you Caroline, for leading me through this journey, and for your kindness and humanity. I won’t forget you.
